My Students

My students love to learn. They are excited to read and explore books on any topic. We are working on learning to read, as well as learning skills to apply to reading. As a new Kindergarten teacher, I do not have access to all of the books that I need to help my students read and grow as readers. We are looking to build our classroom library so that my students can experience all aspects of the world through reading books.

My Project

My students spend an hour a day in various centers. We are limited with technology for me to set them up with games and interactive learning experiences. During center time, I would love to have some tablets so that they can play interactive and engaging games that self correct so that I can work with other students one-on-one during this time. My students are so engaged when they get the chance to play learning games, but unfortunately we are limited in technology with this being my first year in Kindergarten. This would give my children that opportunity to learn through play.
