My Students

Kindergarten is so much fun! Our students learn in many different ways using all of our senses and multiple intelligences. We use a wide range of techniques to help all the students succeed no matter what their level. Our students attend a Title l school. Most of the students come from families from a low socioeconomic status, with over 70% of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Brooklyn. Our school is a caring community of successful learners, which can be seen through collaborative student project based learning in and out of the classroom. Kindergarteners in our classes love to work with hands-on materials and have many different opportunities to practice a skill before it is mastered.

My Project

At our school, not many children in kindergarten have access to any kind of technological devices at home. During center work, these tablets will be put to great use for students to access educational apps to enhance not only their literacy and math skills, but to make it a fun learning experience using 21st century learning on a tablet. The best part is that each child will get to use a tablet for learning every day.

Today, technology has become such an integral part of our curriculum.

My students need tablets to help them with reading skills and math skills. Using tablets in the classroom will make learning fun and engaging. Students will be able to listen to stories, practice tracing their numbers, trace their letters and so much more!
