My Students

My students are thoughtful, creative, caring, and eager to learn. They walk into my classroom each day ready to embrace whatever challenge I have set for them that day. They love hands-on activities that push them to their utmost. They are my reason for doing what I do every day! They are truly amazing!

My students inspire me to be the very best that I can be for them!

They push me to be creative and unique in my lesson design.

Our school is located in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. We have a very high low-socioeconomic ratio with about 78% of our students receiving free or reduced rate lunch. We are a Title I school. Every one of my students has a love for learning that has been instilled in them by parents at home and previous teachers. I am blessed and honored to call them mine!

My Project

A big part of third grade is setting personal goals and practicing in order to achieve those goals. My students have access to several different programs online to help them track reading goals. They also have access to practice math facts. Both of these fantastic programs are online.

Every student in my class would be more successful in achieving their individual goals if given more access to technology.

With two Amazon Fire tablets to work from, they will be able to practice essential skills and reach a higher level of reading and math potential. They are working hard and being successful with what they have already been given. With access to this additional technology, they will soar!
