This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Due to the joy of being able to parent 3 lovely girls I previously left my teaching career. Now I pursue another chapter in my life of going back to revive my teaching career.
I have been given a great teaching opportunity for a Kindergarten class in a neighborhood that most children are either in shelters or underprivileged.
The classroom I have been given doesn't have many center materials or equipment needed to enhance the students' learning and their ability to learn to read and write. My plans are to transform this classroom from an ideal classroom into a reality. This will design a creative space that will promote student creativity.
My Project
My school is a title one school. These tablets will allow the opportunity for a small group to have access to technology. I will use them during small groups, for my ELL students, and center time. My ELL students can use it to enhance their knowledge of english words using app that are fun and interactive. During station time the students can listen to books online or even go on websites or apps that reinforce sight words.
These tablets will be a stupendous asset for hands-on technology and learning.
It will be able to cover different learning styles, My students will really enjoy the ability to have the freedom and flexibility to learn using these tablets!
