Help me give my students a new sensory experience! They love using sensory items!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Ault's classroom raised $332
This project is fully funded
My Students
Our classroom is a pre-k class for children with special needs in an inner-city school district. We have one full day class that is in session Monday through Friday.
My students are three to five years old with disabilities, most with an diagnosis of autism.
They love to build with blocks (wooden blocks, Legos, Lincoln Logs, Magna Tiles), play in the sand table, play with playdough, work on puzzles, "read" books, explore art materials and interact with a variety of other materials. Most of my students have very limited expressive language skills and social interaction skills. They come to school each day excited to learn!
My students all receive free breakfast and lunch.
My Project
My students enjoy sensory materials. They like using materials in a variety of ways. My students like letters, numbers and shapes. We will use this tabletop light table in our sensory and science area to allow them to explore materials in anew way!
The tabletop light table will allow them to see materials (letters, numbers, shapes) in a different way.
They will be able to manipulate the materials on the tabletop light table. My students see many things differently and learn in different ways. The tabletop light table will show them materials in a different light!
