My Students
I will be providing intervention services to K-2 special education students and to K-2 students who need extra support in reading. Using tablets as learning tools in the classroom will enable me to provide more individualized instruction and will enable me to integrate technology to these special needs students.
I will use the tablets as learning centers for my kids to work on word work, reading text, and reading comprehension.
Many of my kids do not have access to these tools, and I would love to be able to provide them at school.
My Project
Tablets will help enrich learning for my special ed and reading intervention students! We can use learning apps to practice fluency in their reading, practice word recognition, practice letter formation, listen to text, read text, and play word pattern games.
The addition of technology would give my students a much-needed boost of practice in the areas of reading, listening, and speaking.
Students who are confident in their reading, listening, and speaking abilities will be ready to face the challenges of each grade as they progress.
My students need games and activities that focus on the alphabet, letter recognition, and writing. My students will use these materials to explore their ability through making letters and sounds, and then words! These activities will be used during learning center times throughout the day as we read and write while learning together. They will be able to use these five Amazon Fire tablets during our whole group and small group time.
