This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are first graders from diverse backgrounds and homes. They love being at school everyday, and strive to do the best they can. Currently, they are learning all subjects, but need some extra support in Literature This is a need in our classroom.

My students are capable of learning to read when they are provided with the resources to do so.

They don't have the "extras" that some students have. They work hard daily to learn essential Life Skills and the foundation of the core subjects!

My Project

This tablet would be a great tool for my scholars to use as a positive reinforcer on a daily basis. They can use the tablet to practice sight word recognition, sentence structure practice, and learning procedural text. This is something that is lacking in the classroom and the students could use in a variety of settings. This will be used as a station activities, circle time accommodation, student individual work, and work with teacher. Students who are movement learners will be able to use sound, sight and movement to access to apps in the tablet. This will help them to retain information.
