Tables for Twenty

Help me give my students the chance to work cooperatively together using tables to get their work done!

My Students

My students come from a variety of homes; from rental houses to apartments, to farms. The community has a wide variety of household incomes. Some students have many family matters that they have to deal with outside of the classroom, like poverty, drug use or a parent in jail/prison. Several students have divorced or separated parents and are shuffled from one house to another. Many students have government assistance programs to help their families provide for them.

Our school is in a small, rural community that has a high poverty rate.

Almost 80% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price meals.

My Project

Having the ability to adjust the height of the tables means that I will give the students opportunities to either sit or stand while working on their work.

These twenty tables will give my students a great place to work cooperatively together at their own height!

Giving the students a choice to either sit in a chair, on a pillow or stand to get their work done has proven in the past to make students more efficient in their work.

I would love the opportunity to give my students the ability to offer a variety of choices in flexible seating and these tables will help my dream become a reality.
