My Students
2nd grade students in my class are making the transition from learning to read to reading to learn! They are fascinated by the adventures that lie before them. They do not let the barriers of their individual lives hold them back from the goals and success they deserve. We begin this process together, right here in 2nd grade.
Students know that knowledge is their choice, and I will give them every opportunity to learn.
In our small rural community, school pride is strong.
My Project
My students do not have appropriate sized chairs or tables to be able to learn. They complain about being uncomfortable, and they lack the ability to stay focused because of their seating options. Please consider helping my students reach their full potential on a daily basis!
Using tables tempts children to cooperate in teamwork activities which enhances their critical thinking skills.
Donating to my project will not only allow my students a better opportunity for focus and comfort, but will also allow them the opportunity to expand their daily learning opportunities. Students will be able to easily partner and group with their table-mates to generate ideas and solve problems in a time efficient manner. They will no longer have to move desks, go to the hall, or lay on the floor when they need to work together to learn.
Currently my students are sitting in a mix matched set of chairs ranging in size, including a large amount of preschool size chairs. My 2nd graders have asked me several times for new tables and chairs. Please consider helping my students to be more successful in school!
