My Students

My students are very rambunctious and full of energy. This year we began interactive notebooks and group projects. Students are able to keep all of their work in one place and it allows them to have a continuous study guide as well as work together with others. This creates a learning environment that is helpful for all types of learners.

My students enjoy working in their notebooks and having group activities because it makes their learning more engaging.

They are able to draw and color to help them learn content for each unit as well as work on critical reading and writing skills. Currently, students sit in desk PODS but do not have enough space needed for all of their supplies. Tables would provide the necessary space for them to work in groups effectively and stay on pace.

My Project

By replacing desks with attached chairs with the lifetime adjustable tables students will have more flexibility in their work space. Table heights can be adjusted to accommodate different needs of students. Having detached chairs will allow students to move within their groups.

Learning through projects and discussions helps make history more interesting and relevant to the lives of students.

My high school students need more space to actively create and participate in class. We use interactive notebooks as well as other collaborative discussions and projects to enhance their learning of World History. In order to complete these projects successfully, students need room for their supplies yet still be connected to their group.
