My kindergarten students come to school every day eager and ready to learn. The littlest thing taught to them makes them so happy and they love to share their ideas and creativity with me the minute they walk through the classroom doors.
My students benefit from learning through all types of teaching whether it be worksheets, hands on manipulatives, or projects, their little minds are always ready to explore and learn.
Whether it is learning about letters or number, animals or stories, my students enjoy it all. At home, these children don't get the experiences they get at school, so when they are allowed to explore and learn, they are very grateful and appreciative.
Kindergartners love to play! So why not incorporate learning at the same time. Letting children use their eyes and hands at the same time, helps to increase fine motor skills as well as enhancing creativity.
Working alone, in a pair, or in a small group, will help each child explore so many different possibilities.
With all the new requirements and standards that are expected in Kindergarten now, incorporating play into all the students do is very beneficial. By having more options for the students to create and work together, will help the students gain confidence, social skills and help them think in ways that they may not have been able to think of otherwise.
