My cohort of students represent the lowest socio-economic group at our school. Kids struggling with poverty, homelessness, anxiety, loss of family members, and group home and foster care scenarios make up our population of students whose lack of resources left them further behind during the pandemic. I and my fellow cohort team are striving to put together collaborative work spaces to facilitate personalized, design-centered, project-based learning to ignite their potential and foster growth. With this new table and chairs they will have a place to discuss and work as they develop their design ideas. The organizers will store their work as they build their final products.
