Help me give my students the experience of table tennis being taught the right way in a Physical Education setting.

My Project

I started this school off with the intentions of introducing students to a wide variety of sports that may not be familiar to them. Most students come in wanting to play soccer, football, or basketball. Please help me to introduce this world-wide sport of table tennis. This can help students with hand and eye coordination as well as helping students who may not be as athletic to play a physical sport, have the opportunity to complete in a leisure activity that can help them gain the confidence in their social circles.

I plan on using the the nets, paddles, and balls in the gym with tables we already have to create a classroom tournament (once they are familiar with the ping pong).I believe with the right practice and instruction, students will be able to experience a mini tournament among the 8th graders, creating a level of competition, which will ultimately build confidence and character.
