My kindergartners are creating life-long friendships. They are learning to collaborate, build social skills, problem-solve, and develop creativity and discovering who they are as individuals. They are eager to explore the world around them through purposeful play.
The students in my classroom come from a rural community with diverse backgrounds, cultures, and socioeconomic statuses.
Many students are learning English for the first time and rely on school programs for food and clothing.
While students may enter school with limited experiences, when these young learners step into the classroom, I believe they each have unlimited potential and deserve, rich, hands-on learning experiences to help shape their future!
My Project
My students need a rectangle activity table. In our classroom we love to participate in active, collaborative learning. We share supplies and work together! Having small tables that fit Kindergarteners, and that small children can reach the center of, are necessary to reach our goals of working together, sharing and team work. We use community supplies and it will be amazing for everyone to be able to reach their supplies.
Small rectangle tables will help us learn collaboration skills!
This table will serve as students "desks" and also provide space to work in small groups during literacy centers and math time. Rectangle tables will be multi functional and space saving!
