The district I work in is a Title I school district. In our classroom, we strive to live as a community of learners. Each of my students is creative and brilliant in their own way. My students have persevered through challenges and have taken ownership of their own learning. My students are a high energy group, who care about their learning and want to be successful. I am proud to be a part of this community that we together have created!
My students need close proximity teaching. This teaching table would help me be within arms reach for helpful hand over hand writing. The teaching table is a perfect size for 1:1 student work or group work if needed. It is adjustable so smaller students will find this table more comfortable for more engaged learning. It is important to be able to adapt to each of our students' unique learning needs. Having dry erase markers, erasers, and dots are very helpful so that students can write directly on the table if needed. Students then can show their work during small group math or practice their handwriting during ELA. It is difficult for students that lack the fine motor to hold a paper while writing.
We currently have a very large horseshoe table that the legs are no longer adjustable on.
It is difficult for my students to sit at because it is too high. We would love to have a space that fits the needs of all students that work in my classroom.
