Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Kindergarten students LOVE to work and play with their classmates. My classroom has always had desks instead of tables that other Kinder classes typically use. We would love to have a table that was designed to foster group work.
My Project
Having a table with this configuration will give my students a fun place to gather for a variety of reasons. It will be used for individualized and small group instruction as well as more collaborative student-driven work. I can just imagine how it might be utilized during a free-choice time - lots of building and creating peppered with important discussions and meaningful interactions among my students. Perhaps the kids might let the teachers in on all the fun, too! Please consider funding this project- we would really appreciate it!
