Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are a mix of regular education and special education students in an inclusion classroom. Many of my students come from low income families that can't always afford the supplies and items needed for academic success. Every year we go on field trips as a class and participate in events throughout the year, such as field day, where we are encouraged to all wear the same color t-shirts.
Not every student can afford these T-shirts, so I would love to provide each student a white and blue t-shirt in order to make t-shirts as a classroom community to wear on our field trips and other school events.
We have a classroom Cricut and need heat transfer vinyl and we would love to have a t-shirt press so that we can use these tools to create unique classroom t-shirts to wear throughout the year. Students will participate in creating a unique design or quote for our t-shirts and we will make them together. The end result will be matching t-shirts for every student to enhance classroom community and a positive classroom culture.
