Systemically Under-Resourced School Needs a Classroom Desktop

My Project
This past week our more than ten-year-old classroom desktop stopped working. This means that all the technology support that our SmartBoard offers to students during math and literacy lessons cannot be accessed anymore. My students cannot wait for educational and socioeconomic inequities to be resolved.
I work in an under-resourced school that serves a large number of disadvantaged and low-income students.
We need a desktop for our classroom so we can use our Smartboard for interactive activities. Our math and literacy lessons have videos, games, quizzes, and several activities that help students to access grade level content. For example, for math lessons the first two parts of class have instructional protocols that involve projecting slides with academic vocabulary, learning targets, and engaging activities that prompt mathematical discourse and practice. Without the desktop, we cannot use the Smartboard and our lesson will be limited to the students notebook and lecture.
Unfortunately, our school does not receive enough funds to provide our students with the support and learning resourses that they need to succeed. These are the children who need the most, but because of a broken system, these students receive the least.
Our school is a high poverty community school. The vast majority of my students come from homes where their parents did not finish high-school. Please help me to stop this trend; please help me to create a positive change.
Under-resourced schools face difficult challenges every day. But I believe that with the help of others, dedication, and compassion, we can show the world the potential of these beautiful and capable children.
