This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Three dimensional shapes, their attributes, and what makes them different from their two dimensional cousins, are not easy concepts to grasp by young learners - particularly students in kindergarten and first grade. Watching videos and completing worksheets does not allow students to grasp both an item and an idea at the same time. Having these Lego Tubes sets will allow my students to directly connect three dimensional shapes with their names and designated attributes all while employing their imagination and creativity. These Legos will allow them to make mental connections that traditional work does not.
