Switch Devices for Students with Special Needs!

Help me give my students the gift of participation in the classroom! Students with significant disabilities require assistive technology at times to engage in classroom activities. Giving these students access to switch devices enables them to participate fully!

My Project

Switch devices enable students with complex and significant special needs to participate in the classroom. Students who are physically not able to communicate are able to use switch devices to interact with lessons, communicate wants and needs, and play/interact with switch enabled toys and items. When students are given a simple switch device, the possibilities are endless for their engagement in the classroom and learning. Switch devices can be used with a variety of items including communication devices, adapted toys, and choice boards. Switch devices are an expensive but invaluable asset to teaching those with significant special needs!
