As an occupational therapist, my job is to help children and their families to participate in their daily lives and live their lives to the fullest. When children have feeding issues, it impacts their entire family and class, and it creates stress for everyone involved. Almost every child diagnosed with autism on my caseload (which is about 75% of my caseload) has sensory issues related to feeding. I know that the SOS training would be beneficial in specifically treating these issues. It takes advanced training for therapists to be effective in their knowledge and treatment of feeding issues and development.
