This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For the last year and a half, I have been creating a sensory garden for our students. I even was able to get a sensory playground for our school. But what they missed was a swing for our students.
Having a swing in our garden will help our students with their sensory input needs.
These products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional options for sensory input. This will help teach the students, how to self-advocate for their needs and identify what sensory strategies work for them. When students have their sensory needs met, they are more regulated, focused, and ready for learning at school!
