This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Candy rewards can serve as effective motivators for students to engage in learning tasks and activities. The prospect of earning a sweet treat can help increase participation and effort in completing assignments or mastering challenging concepts. Using candy as a form of positive reinforcement can reinforce desired behaviors and academic achievements. When students receive candy rewards for demonstrating progress or achieving goals, it strengthens their connection between effort and success.
Candy provides immediate gratification, which can be particularly effective for younger students or those who struggle with delayed rewards.
The instant satisfaction of receiving a candy incentive can boost morale and encourage continued effort in learning. My goal is to Incorporate occasional candy breaks during lessons to help break up monotony and re-energize students by enhancing their ability to focus and sustain attention on learning tasks.
My student are special because with sharing candy rewards fosters a sense of camaraderie and goodwill among class and between students and teachers. It creates opportunities for positive interactions and strengthens the sense of community within the classroom. The students continue to encourage each other and motivate one another.
Overall, while candy incentives should be used judiciously and in moderation, they can be a fun and effective tool for enhancing student motivation, engagement, and ultimately, learning outcomes.
