This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"I can do this" our class motto. The push, the drive to want to do better, to be a better person. This is what I try to instill in my students each and everyday. My 22 student's are unique and come from different backgrounds and cultures. My classroom consists of ELLs, Gifted, IEP and students on 504 health plans, as well as everything in between.

Out of the many differences that each student has, they do share a common trait, curiosity.

Each have curious minds and are learning to work through challenges academically and emotionally. My goal as their teacher is to provide my students with a creative and meaningful learning experience

My Project

Having these Chromebooks in the class will not only help increase the use of technology in the room, it will make the use of math and reading centers more engaging. Student's love having one technology based center. One of my favorite ways to incorporate technology is in math, by using Prodigy.

Prodigy Math Game, is a fantasy-based game that covers skills learned in Grades 1 through 8.

Student's answer math questions to earn spells, which they use to battle monsters as they move through different worlds on the way to Wizard Academy. This is just one example of the many possibilities of utilizing these chrome books.

Currently, my classroom only has two desktop computers. Think of the opportunities, these technology tools would give my students!
