My Students

My students are ones who may be the first of their family to go to college, they are ones who are individually motivated to better their education, and they are ones who want to go to college. My students are ones who are curious about the world and the way it works. They want to take learning in their own hands each day by searching for answers. Their families are supportive and want them to go to college. Ours is the program that helps encourage their curious minds.

My Project

Our students are ones who are curious about the world around them. They are excited to transform our classroom into a sweet candy business while learning about how to become a business owner. Students will research information around Dylan's Candy Bar, the largest candy store in New York in order to become a part of the business. Not only will they develop their own candy designs they will discover what colleges are the best to attend in order to achieve the college degrees they need to be hired by this business. Other research will also take them on virtual tours of the 16 stores across the United States and the colleges they can attend.

Students will use the candy buckets to display their candy designs for visitors to taste, they will then use the scissors, construction paper, watercolor markers to help design the candy store in and outside of the classroom walls.

The name tags will be used to label the items in their candy bins. The addition of these items will help my students use their creativity to create an awesome candy business.
