Sweet Rewards and Colorful Supplies

My Project

COVID has impacted students in many ways. My students this year were 3rd graders when the world shut down and schools closed. This was a critical age when they were developing skills and study habits. Many students were isolated from peers and are having a hard time adjusting to coming back to school. The learning gap that occurred during that time is huge and my students have varied skills.

The supplies that I have requested will be used for SEL types of activities.

My students this year have expressed many times how grateful they are to be back in school, and they love to be social. The karaoke machine will serve to a be great to have some fun, as well as a microphone to help when students need to do oral presentations, as many are a little quiet in front of peers. The otter pops are rewards for students who complete work on time, and volunteer answers in class.

These colorful supplies, as well as sweet treats to earn as incentives for work well done will really help to motivate them!
