My Students

My students are awesome! I teach at a Philadelphia Public School that qualifies for Title I funding. My entire class qualifies for free breakfast and lunch. Most of my students live in a single parent household and some of them are being cared for by a foster family or extended family members.

Despite the challenges my students face, they come each day with a great attitude.

Many of them have faced hardships that you would never want any child to ever experience. I provide a safe, nurturing environment where kids can learn and progress.

My Project

As the weather begins to change, I have noticed that students are no longer in uniform. It appears that they do not have long sleeved shirts, sweaters, and warm jackets to wear to school.

A clean shirt or warm uniform sweater can boost student confidence and help them make it to class daily.

Some students don't come to school when their uniform needs laundering or if it is too cold. They are in need of warm clothing so that they can be comfortable in class and on their way to school. With your help, students won't miss school do to concerns with uniforms and they will feel confident when they get there!
