You might think kindergarten students pass their day playing games and wiggling around, but that's only partly true! Kindergarten is actually a year of incredible growth. Children at this age are naturally curious and loving.
After ten years of teaching kindergarteners, they don't cease to amaze me in how complex their thinking can be.
Newton Public Schools is a full inclusion district that supports children of all needs. Each child, no matter their abilities, is able to make a difference in the world. They are capable of much, much more than given credit for!!
My Project
As a public school educator, I am teaching my students about the benefits of recycling and ways in which to do so. We are working to reduce waste in our classroom and school. A great deal of trash is generated throughout the year and Terra Cycle can help reduce some of this waste.
My goal is to use our classroom as a model for the school.
I would love to expand my classroom library and stock it with books that connect children and their actions to the earth. It is my hope that you will consider donating to this project and support my student's eco-friendly learning and reduction of senseless waste. Our children are our future and they are fierce advocates when it comes to protecting our planet. Thank you for considering my request.
