My Project
We read about plants in science. We grew some sunflowers. They were fascinated and obsessed with watching their plants grow. They also read about other kids that were global guardians that created their own gardens at their school and helped protect their environment. This inspired them to want to take part in the movement! Students wrote letters to the principal to ask permission to start a garden. I've never seen them so eager to write! They were ecstatic to make posters to get others in the school on board and involved. All we need now is some of the gardening materials, like seeds, watering cans, and gardening tools! I want to give kids an experience they won't forget and hopefully inspire them to take action in all the ways that make a difference! I want them to see how an idea and passion can start a movement within their school and forever change it!
