Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our "Computer Science for Good" afterschool club is a hands-on initiative where students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade explore how technology can help create a more sustainable future. The club is led afterschool by four dedicated female educatorsand it combines computer science, environmental education, and creative design to empower young changemakers.

We currently own a Cricut cutting machine which is incredible tool for personalized creation but don't have the essential materials to use it.

That’s where you come in! With your support, we can receive: a bracelet bending bar kit, bracelet and keychain blanks, engraving markers, zipper pencil pouches and canvas tote bags.

These materials will allow our students to design and create custom items that reflect their understanding of sustainability, such as reusable tote bags with eco-friendly messages, personalized keychains to reduce plastic use, and bracelets with reminders to be kind to the planet. Not only will this project bring their computer science and design lessons to life, but it will also give our students the joy of seeing their ideas turned into real, tangible products they can use or gift. The excitement is already growing, and more students are eager to join, but we need these materials to include more of them.

By supporting our project, you’re giving students a chance to learn STEAM skills, express their creativity, and make a meaningful impact in their community.
