Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

When students knew they had somewhere to go to get snacks and water to help them along the way/day, it was game changing. Sometimes students, especially those older teenagers, need that push to make it through the school day outside of just lunch. Having this space to provide these even smallest gestures to support their day is priceless.

The goal of this project is to ultimately have a space where students can come to fulfill their basic need and continue with their day without being hungry or thirsty.

As we approach the end of the school year, having this safe space remains important and valued for our young people to finish strong and finish successfully.
