Help me give my students the materials they need to create all kinds of sustainable projects for my 20 Time Class, including models, paintings, bath bombs, lollypops and lip gloss.

My Students

My students are loving, curious, bright people who care deeply for their community, especially their friends. They love good stories, expressing themselves verbally and in writing, and working together. They love to laugh and learn.

Here is a blurb about my school and students from our website:

Our school "... is located in the town of Waimea on the western side of the island of Kaua’i. As a public middle school, WCMS services students in grades 6th, 7th and 8th. Students from the neighboring communities of Kekaha, Waimea, Pakala, Makaweli, Kaumakani, ‘Eleʻele, and Kalaheo comprise the school’s population. The students’ friendly, active personalities reflect the Westside community’s aloha for outdoor life and for each other."

My Project

My students love hands on projects. The materials I am requesting, will help them make paintings and models of sustainable cities. We are also requesting materials to make organic bath bombs, lip gloss and lollypops. They hope to educate their peers and community by using art and organic products to promote sustainability.

My students are studying how to make a positive impact on their environment and community using sustainability practices.

They are also expanding their knowledge from last semester and their participation in the Future City competition. They are building a new model of their sustainable city. They are excited to apply engineering concepts to their sustainability plan.
