Sustainability in the Classroom: An Alternative to Single Use Posters

Help me give my students reusable Post-It posters for their projects and cut down on waste!

My Project

I LOVE a good poster project. There's nothing that excites my students more than walking in and seeing desks grouped together. I love that it enables students to socialize and gives them an opportunity to prove their mastery of the topic to me.

While I love poster projects, I hate throwing away expensive, large Post-It notes at the end of each project.

It's so wasteful, but there's no way I can keep (nor do I need to keep) each and every poster project my students do after completion. I'm excited to implement these reusable, dry-erase post-its into my classroom this fall! And let's be honest, students love writing on Dry Erase! I plan to put the Post-Its on the foam boards so students can reuse these time and time again, as well as work in whatever physical space is needed.

I hope this will be a small step in encouraging students to consider the impact of single use items, especially when there are alternatives!
