This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a group of young, vibrant and eager students. I wish to give the kids a variety of fun and educational materials for them to use for the holiday season. I have requested Crayola crayons, so that each child can have their own pack to use to color or draw. I also requested coloring books that I want to give to each child because the kids in my class enjoy coloring. The laminating sheets will be used to laminate the kid’s art work for their families.
The students in my class are experiencing their first year in a school environment, so it is important that they have a variety of materials to explore with and learn.
The play-doh is a great tool for the kids because they are at an age where they are developing and strengthening their fine motor skills. Play-doh enables kids to work on eye-hand coordination as they roll, pound and create. My students matter, and I know that the materials requested will be great for all the kids in my class.
