Sure You Can Type Your Paper, But You'll Have To Stand
My students need 6 chairs so they do not have to stand while typing on the computers.

My Students
Can you type a paper while standing? I currently have 35 desks and 35 students, with a severe furniture shortage in our school, this leaves many of my students standing while using the computers.
My students are dedicated college bound students who don't always have the resources at home to meet the expectations I set for them.
Many 21st century assignments and curriculum goals require the use of computers, but many of my students depend on me for the access to technology.
My Project
For an hour each day students can go to any teacher's classroom to work on homework, get extra help, or use computers. I teach 3 different courses that require students to use computers. I currently have plenty of computers for my students to use, but they have to stand while doing so because I do not have enough chairs for them to sit in. It takes extra time management, planning, and dedication for a student to go into a teacher's classroom on their own time to type up papers, they shouldn't have to be uncomfortable while doing so.
If my students have chairs to sit in at the computers they will feel more comfortable coming into my classroom and use the resources that are available to them more often.
It is hard enough for my AP students to keep up with the workload and many students do not have computer access at home. The least I feel like I should be able to do as their teacher is provide a place they feel comfortable working.
