This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students have different needs, and as teachers, it is our responsibility to accommodate these needs in the classroom. Some of my students have ADHD and they need flexible seating. Additionally, my largest class has 36 students, two teachers, and a 1-1 aide. Therefore, it can get pretty loud at times. One tool we use to assist with the volume is with noise-canceling headphones.

That is why we are requesting 2 wobble chairs to help our students get out a bit of extra energy in class and a set of 5 noise-canceling headphones.

Please consider donating to our project so we can provide all of our students with the accommodations they need to focus in class. Students with ADHD deserve the appropriate seating to ensure a better learning environment. Additionally, noise-canceling headphones can be used to help our students focus in class. These chairs and headphones would impact generations of students and would be used each year!
