Help me give my students daily essentials such as lotion, disinfectant wipes, and ponytail holders to create a supportive classroom environment, positively promote well-being, and focus on learning by addressing their personal needs.
The little things that mean so much to a student knowing that a teacher has the essentials for them to take care of daily needs that arise makes a difference!
Housing daily necessities in the classroom like hair ties, lotion, tissue, band-aids, and even disinfectant spray helps students to feel valued and the best version of themselves throughout the day while building a more connected classroom community because they can take care of needs as they arise.
Students won't have to feel self-conscious because their hair is out of place, or a need to explain their desire for a band-aid or lotion that others would find unnecessary, won't need to go to the nurse in the middle of class because they forgot to put on deodorant in their rush to get to school when those necessities are already in the classroom in a designated spot and they can grab and go!
