Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The supplies for the project will assist with mental health support for high school student. The yoga mats and pillows for alternative seating will allow the students to practice mindfulness. The cases of water will allow them to remain hydrated throughout their day as many water fountain at the school are not working and many students are not able to bring water bottle. Mindfulness, the simple practice of being aware and present in the moment, has a profound impact on high school students' academic success and mental clarity.
The benefits of mindfulness go beyond the classroom setting, mindfulness helps students manage their emotions, reduce stress, and approach challenges with a balanced perspective.
When students are mentally clear and emotionally regulated, they are more resilient, more adaptable, and more capable of overcoming obstacles.
Having mental clarity allows students to be present, more engaged in the classroom, more focused and this will allow them to be better students.
