My Students

My students are addicted to technology. Let's turn their addiction into academic success!

My students are in middle school and are working hard to overcome any obstacle to master reading, writing and mathematics.

In my school, over 89% of students are classified as low income and 24% receive Special Education services. The most important statistic, however, is that 100% of the students I work with have their education greatly enhanced through funded DonorsChoose.org projects.

My Project

My students advocated for a set of Chromebooks for our classroom through a student led project. The project was fully funded which leaves me with the truly thankful task of figuring out the best way to securely store their technology. With the laptop cart and charger, their Chromebooks will be safely stowed and charged. The Chromebook will help us have a full class set so all students can simultaneously work on projects on the laptops. The storage containers will help us organize our computer mice and headphones. With this technology, students will be writing essays, watching math instructional videos and testing their knowledge. Perhaps most importantly, they will be showing what they know and where they can go with this technology and as well as demonstrating their responsibility by charging their laptops between classes.

I cannot begin to express how empowered my students are when they have access to educational technology.

This is truly a game changer for my students as they are propelled into the 21st century. Keeping their Chromebooks safely secured when not in use helps my students keep the technology in top-notch safe for future generations of middle school students.
