My Project
My 10th-grade physics students are a bundle of curiosity and energy, eager to understand the "why" and "how" behind the world around them. They bring a unique blend of creativity and determination to every challenge. What makes them truly special is their resilience and their willingness to support each other. Many of my students face challenges outside of school, but in my classroom, they form a strong community, working together to overcome obstacles and celebrate successes.
The resources I'm requesting will make a tangible difference in their learning.
The batteries will power our hands-on investigations into circuits and electricity, allowing students to build and test their own designs. The glue sticks and popsicle sticks will enable them to create physical models of physics concepts, like bridges or simple machines, making abstract ideas more concrete. Even seemingly simple items like pencils and markers are essential – providing them with the tools to clearly communicate their ideas and findings. The inclusion of sheet protectors and pencil boxes will help us maintain organization of lab materials, sketch notes, and student work so that we can focus on learning.
My goals for this project are to:
* Foster a more engaging and hands-on learning environment.
* Increase student understanding of key physics concepts through experimentation and model building.
* Develop students' problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
* Provide all students with the basic tools they need to succeed, regardless of their individual circumstances.
Ultimately, I want to empower my students to become confident, capable scientists who are prepared for success in their future endeavors.
