Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This projects aims to support students with special needs in their resource classroom. The items listed will help them to engage and focus.
The room dividers and individual students dividers will help my students focus during testing and individualized work centers.
My students often get distracted, therefore this will help them stay more attentive to the task/activity/test at hand. The borders are to complete the decor for a welcoming classroom. In addition, the calendar will help students learn important life skills such as recalling months, days, years, and weather in a way that is engaging as well as visual. It will be displayed in an area where they can easily see and reference it. Lastly, the sheet protectors are used for organizing their individualized IEP at a glance. Students will each have their IEP at a glance to reference their specific goals as they work in my classroom and to reference in their general education classroom (promoting self-advocacy).
