Help me give my students with Autism Spectrum Disorder resources that are backed by evidence-based strategies to support them. I also need toys to provide to them to use as reinforcers to improve appropriate behaviors.

My Project
From one teacher to another. As a teacher with over 10 years of experience as a special education teacher, I made the switch to become an Autism Consultant Teacher in hopes to reach more students by providing support to other special education teachers. I made this switch because during my 12 years as a special education teacher, I have seen far too many teachers leaving the special education field or even teaching as a whole. I know that one of the main reasons for this is because they did not have the tools needed to effectively teach their students.
Students will access the resources to learn how to improve areas of deficits (e.g., social skills and other appropriate behaviors).
Students will look through the pages with me and other staff members to go over the required steps to address the particular skill. The students will review the steps initially with me in a structured setting first. Students will then work to generalize those skills across other people, settings, and other skills.
Students will use the toys as reinforcers to improve target behaviors. Students will also be able to utilize the toys appropriately to fidget with to stay engaged during instructional periods.
