My Project
Hello! As a school social worker, a big part of my job is assisting our incredible students in learning about their feelings, teaching healthy coping skills, and providing a safe space for them to re-regulate their emotions so they can be successful in school! My classroom is the "Calming Room" on campus. The bean bag chairs provide a comfortable seat for students to relax while they are practicing their coping skills. The sensory/fidget toys are helpful for students experiencing symptoms of anxiety or challenges with attention in class. The posters and books are to increase students' knowledge of taking care of their brains!
