My Project

Next year our district is creating a new role in elementary schools - Science Specialist. I am excited to use my experience and knowledge of teaching several grade levels to help me to support students in this role! However, most of my classroom materials and supplies do not lend themselves to a multi-age science classroom.

I am asking for materials and supplies that will help transform my classroom into a science lab!

I want my former students to walk in and become scientists, rather than feeling like they are back in their second or third grade classroom.

Although we will be provided with science tools and curriculum, the posters and bulletin boards will provide enriching visuals to help students feel like scientists. We are an inclusive school, so students of all abilities are in all classrooms. These supplies will help support all students. The microscopes will provide some hands on tools to encourage real world, inquiry based learning in small groups. Additionally, the teacherspayteachers gift card will allow me to respond to student's interests, abilities, and wonderings efficiently and effectively.
