This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an educator in a dual-language elementary school near the southern Texas border, I see firsthand how the lack of basic hygiene and period products can create barriers to learning for many students. This project aims to provide period products, such as pads, liners, and organizational supplies like bags and bins, to ensure our students have what they need to feel comfortable and confident. Additionally, deodorants and comfort snacks will be included to further support their well-being.
By providing these essential period and hygiene supplies, we can help eliminate distractions and ensure students stay focused on their education.
With your support, we plan to provide period products such as pads, liners, and small bags to discreetly store items. Organizational supplies such as bins for sorting and easy access to products and deodorants and snacks to offer added comfort and support during challenging days.
