My Project
Our Care Closet provides hygiene products and clothes to our students in need. Poor hygiene relates to mental health. An unclean appearance can cause social isolation. Feelings of loneliness and failure caused by this isolation can harm one's mental health and lead to chronic depression/social anxiety.
How you care for your body/appearance is closely connected to your self-image.
If people avoid you at school because of poor hygiene, your self-esteem will likely suffer. Due to this providing these necessities is one way we can help support our students' mental health.
