Supporting Student Attendance with Digital Passes

My Project

Nationwide, student attendance is at an all-time low. Schools struggle with chronic absenteeism, tardiness, and "skipping" classes more than ever before. While whole-school-day absences can be difficult to address, many schools are looking toward ways to more closely monitor students who are on campus but are not attending their classes throughout the day.

Digital passes offer an efficient way to keep track of student movement across campus, increasing interventions to address attendance and safety issues as they arise.

Certain technology, like the Samsung Galaxy tablets, which I have included in this project, will help to effectively utilize the digital pass system at my school. The tablets will be used as kiosks for hosting our digital pass system, making the process seamless for students.
