Help me give my students social studies curriculum enrichment and hands-on materials.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Morel's classroom raised $170

My Students
Our tiny, rural, Title I school is located in Central New York. My students come from a very tight-knit community, in which most of the families have lived for generations. Despite our small size, we have a diverse population and students come from all different backgrounds and experiences.
I am a career changer who is very excited to be embarking on my very first year of teaching!
It is so important to me to able to provide engaging experiences for my 15 first graders. I sincerely appreciate your consideration in supporting my students and our classroom. Thank you so much!
My Project
These Social Studies units support the 1st grade social studies framework and provide ELA and Math extensions with corresponding craft activities and book suggestions.
These curriculum materials are just what my class needs to explore our social studies framework in ways that encourage us to think outside the box, and create hands-on, meaningful, supplemental projects and experiences.
The units I have requested include Families and Communities, Basic Needs, Wants, and Family Provisions, Basic Economics, and On the Map. These units will support and enhance our Social Studies time and work, and provide cross curricular instructional opportunities to further deepen our understanding of these important concepts.
