My Project

Students in our kindergarten class have a variety of needs each day. The transition from being at home to being in school all day, puts lots of additional stress on little bodies. To help students with self-regulation and to provide calming input, we are looking to add to our sensory corner. These tools will provide many benefits to our students.

This project will provide fillers for sensory bins, supporting students' development.

Sensory bins help students to develop fine motor skills and gives them the opportunity to learn through tactile play. When using these tools with others, they help children increase socialization with peers by learning and practicing to take turns, cooperate, and communicate with others. Sensory bins can provide a quiet activity to help students calm down and play independently when needed. With your help, we will be able to add these new tools to our classroom, giving our students the materials they need to grow and develop.
