Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need extra support to meet their individualized learning goals. My classroom supports a variety of diverse learners and is an inclusive setting in which all students can thrive and learn alongside one another. Each of my students is unique, and many of them have sensory sensitives and needs.

Sensory play helps support brain development, encourage emotional regulation, and facilitate language development and social skills.

The water/sand table will allow students the opportunity to interact in a hands-on way, while the sensory bins will encourage the development of fine motor skills through tactile play. The bean bag chair offers a flexible seating option and the noise cancelling headphones will help our learners stay focused. Diapers, wipes, and the diaper genie will help us keep a hygienic classroom space so that learning can take the forefront.
